II — The Concept

The product is not good events. It is access — to nights you could not otherwise enter, and would not believe if you were told about them the next morning.

Every gathering contains a first.

Something you have never tasted, tried, heard or felt. It doesn’t have to be enormous — it has to be genuine. We take the idea that shouldn’t be possible, and stage it with total control. Wild in conception; immaculate in execution. Never repeated.

You won’t know what happens next. That’s rather the point.

The mystery is the menu — never the manners.

III — The Work What we do — three streams

The House works three ways.

01

We host our own nights.

Small, singular, never repeated. Most seat under forty; none has run twice.

Ongoing.
Dinners, parties, tastings, weekends away.
02

We create for others.

Commissions for private clients, brands and communities — your guest list, our imagination. Under our name, or entirely under yours.

Commission the House →
Ongoing. Discretion is the baseline.
Your night is never published without leave.
03

The Society — doors open soon.

A private layer of the House is forming. It cannot be bought.

V — The Repertoire
From the House’s book of formats

The Repertoire.

A working book of nights — ideas the House keeps in its repertoire. Some have been staged behind other names; every one is ready to be staged again, differently, for a different room. Open one to read it properly.

The Weather Banquet

The first Five courses matched to five manufactured weathers — fog at the table, indoor rain over the centrepiece, and a thunderclap timed to the sorbet.

A Victorian glasshouse after dark; the forecast is printed on the menu. Each course arrives under its own weather — the storm system is ours, and so is the barometer.

The next gathering is already written. It just hasn’t happened yet.

Everything in this book exists because a night ended and we wrote down what occurred. The next release is no different — it is being written right now, in the future tense, and it will stay sealed until the doors have closed and the last glass is down. What’s coming is listed under Upcoming; what happens inside remains ours until it’s over.

Attendees read each release first. The register hears about the next night before anyone else does. That is the whole arrangement — and it cannot be bought, only attended into.

Not yet. Attendees read it first.

If that arrangement appeals to you, apply to be in the room.

VI — The Society Coming soon

The Society.

A private layer of the House is forming — out of the guest lists, not a price list. Smaller rooms, rarer tables, travel, and eventually a key. It cannot be bought, and it will never be large. The only way in is to be known to the House — and it starts with an application.

Applications are read by a person. Most are declined. That is rather the point.

VII — The Application The last door

The application.

For the Society, the register of invitations, or a commission. Answer like a person — plain sentences are fine.

A name, please — any name will do.

That address doesn’t look quite finished.

One line — the best thing you’ve never done.

Received.

We read everything. If it’s a fit, you’ll hear within a fortnight.
